Housing Intensification, Sydney 2011 (first component)

This layer shows the first component of housing intensification for Sydney 2011. SPSS was used to run the factor analysis. Factor 1 is dominated by young migrant students. This group is strongly characterized by young adults (15-33) who had migrated to Australia from North East Asia and South East Asia with fewer from Southern Central Asia between 2001 and 2011. This group has high level of private renting of flats, purchasing, and living in group households. They have either middle household income (AU$800-1499 per week) and part-time employed, who are working in service and administrative occupations or nil income and are unemployed who are apparently tertiary students and not stated in labour force.
